The restrooms are small and basic, but the showers are nice. The campground is dog friendly, and there are plenty of trails to explore. The campground is close to the Mississippi Indian mounds, and the Petrified Forest is a great place to explore. The campground is heavily wooded with a dirt/gravel road running through it. The sites are spacious and well spaced, with some pull throughs and back ins. The full service campsites are neat, clean and well maintained. There are lots of picnic areas and open green space around the entrance, making it a great spot for school groups. The Petrified Forest is a fascinating 45-60 minute self-guided walk, and staying at the campground gives you a discount. The campground is dog friendly and super quiet, with friendly management. The grounds could use a bit more gravel to cut back on the mud, and the restrooms are small, but with full hookups, theyre not needed much.
