What others are saying about this campground
Bogue Chitto Park is a great place to go for a hot summer day. Located on the Bogue Chitto River, the park offers tubing and canoeing, as well as miles of trails for horseback riding. The upper ground campsites are paved and have clean bathrooms, and there are four bath houses, two nature trails, playgrounds, and a large basketball court. There are also tube and canoe rentals in the entrance of the park. The only downside is that it is impossible to get a satellite signal with all the trees, and the poison ivy needs to be cleared away from the sites. The showers on the end we stayed at had broken panels out of the door, and there were overflowing garbage cans at each site, but the young man working was very pleasant and helpful. The rate we paid was with the senior pass, so it was still a good value.

Scenic Rivers offers an endless parade of recreational fun, including hunting, fishing, watersports, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, biking, horseback riding, golfing, and plenty of places to camp under the stars, from roughing it at a primitive site to easing through the evening in the comfort of a cabin or RV. The alliance manages several park facilities, including Bogue Chitto Water Park & Campground and Ethel Vance Park.
