Yocona Ridge at George Payne Cossar State Park is a great campground for families and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the lake and the surrounding trees, as well as the nearby playground and miniature golf course. Disc golf is also available, although the lake may be too high to play at times. The day use area is also nice, with a new pavilion, playground, and mini golf. Larger rigs may have difficulty navigating the road in, but sites can accommodate up to 40 footers. There are lots of sites on the water, and wildlife like deer and squirrels can be seen in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful, although the bathroom facilities may be dirty. Electrical boxes may not be close enough for some campers, and the voltage may be low. Enjoy the deer visits in the evening and morning, and make sure to bring marshmallows for roasting!
