This campground is located close to I-10 and is convenient to the Gulf Coast. It is a nice campground with a great restaurant at the entrance, but it has some drawbacks. There is no WiFi, the pool is a swamp, there is low water pressure, ants are everywhere, no TV channels are available even on antennae, there is no Good Sam discount, and no credit cards are accepted. The hookups have exposed wiring and electrical tape visible, making them unsafe. Most sites are grass and the streets are broken up, making it difficult for large motorhomes and fifth wheels to access. Payment must be in cash or a 3% fee will be added to the nightly rate if a credit card is used. The campground is crowded, with small roads and muddy and wet spots. There is no real dog walk area and it has lost much of its resort destination character. There is live music on Sunday afternoons, which may be a problem for some visitors.
