This campground is a down-to-earth, family-friendly destination for first-time campers. The grounds are satisfactory and the staff are friendly, but there are a lot of old run-down campers and several trashy sites. WIFI is mostly useless and there are reports of drug use and thefts. The river is a great feature, but bring water shoes. The landscaping could use some work and they could use another hiking trail. There is very poor security and rules enforcement. The campground is located at 1616 US-49 and is undergoing remodeling and construction. The campsites are wide and among trees, but the sites are deep gravel.
