John Kyle State Park is a peaceful, scenic campground located on Sardis Reservoir in Mississippi. It offers plenty of fishing and boating opportunities, as well as a short trail nearby. However, the campground is in need of repairs and maintenance. Half of the park is abandoned/closed down and only one bath house is up and running, with toilet paper not being replenished and no hand soap. There is also broken glass on the ground in one of the stalls. The staff is friendly and the sites are level, with picnic tables and grills, but there are no fire pits or sewer hookups. There is a small beach access, but the swimming area is gone as trees have grown in the way. The campground is littered with garbage and trash, and the northern part of the campground is overgrown. While the campground is inexpensive and convenient, it is in need of some TLC.
