The campground is located on the western tip of Sardis Lake, surrounded by woods and offering a great view of the lake. There are picnic tables and fire pits at each site, as well as a dumpster and bathrooms (closed). Cell reception with AT&T and Verizon is good. The lake is great for fishing and there is a Dollar General store a few miles away for supplies. There are concrete pads for RVs and running water, but no showers. The campground is a bit hard to find, so make sure to use the written directions on your reservation.

Visitors can enjoy the natural beauty of the lake by walking the Sandstone Nature Trail, Sandstone Fitness Trail, Clear Springs Nature Trail, and Clear Creek Mountain Bike Trail. The lake is also a popular spot for fishing, with largemouth bass, crappie, and catfish being the most commonly caught species.
