ICM campground is a small, rustic campground located in a convenient location for those looking for a night or more. The campground is currently undergoing upgrades under new ownership. The sign welcoming visitors is faded and small, so extra caution is needed when driving past it. The campsites are bordered by landscaping timbers, so extra caution is needed for tow vehicle and trailer tires. The bathhouse is located at the entrance instead of central to the sites and is very dated, but reasonably clean. There are 2 showers with hot water, but no laundry. The lady who checked us in was nice and showed us to our spot. There were only a handful of people the entire weekend, though the park was full. This is a great family trip destination, and OK for an overnight stop but not much more.

From The Campground

Indian Mound Campground is a 12-acre wooded RV and tent campground located 5 miles from Starkville and MSU. The campground offers a gift shop, movie rentals, fishing pond, spacious RV spots, laundry facility, vending machines, common areas, dog park, and nature trail. Adjacent to the campground is the Herman Mounds and Village Site, a national historic registered site. The campground is located 15 minutes from the Noxubee Wildlife refuge, 20 minutes from the Tenn-Tom waterway and Columbus, and there are 9 golf courses within 30 minutes. You can catch and release fish here at the campground pond or at one of 6 lakes over 500 acres within 15 minutes of the campground, Tibbee creek/bottom and the world-renowned fishing and wakeboarding of the Tombigbee River is 20 minutes away.
