Roaring River State Park is a beautiful family-oriented campground in a long, narrow valley with a creek on one side and bluffs on the other. The campground offers a variety of camping options, including electric-only sites, full hook-up sites with 50 amp electric, sewer, and water, and tent sites. The campground is well-shaded and has plenty of space to park and picnic. There are also several trails for walking dogs, and a fish hatchery for trout fishing. The park has a convenience store, restaurant, and a public pool, as well as a playground for kids. Unfortunately, there are no sewer or water hookups in the park, and the restrooms and showers are not very clean. The campground can get busy, so reservations are recommended.

Roaring River State Park offers basic and electric campsites spread throughout three campgrounds, as well as a sewer/electric/water campsite. For a little extra space, try one of the park's family campsites. There is also an organized group camp. The park store is available for campers to stock up on whatever they need for their camping experience. Campers can reserve their Missouri State Parks campsite up to 12 months in advance. Reservations may also be made by calling toll-free 877-ICampMO (877-422-6766).
