Truman Lake Campgrounds offer a variety of campsites conveniently located around the shoreline of Truman Lake. The campgrounds have paved roads, shower buildings, laundry facilities, and level campsites. Many sites have electricity, fire rings, picnic tables, frost-free hydrants nearby, and lantern posts. The campgrounds are popular with fishermen and offer a range of amenities including swimming beaches, boat ramps, and full-service marina concessionaires. The area is covered with oak-hickory forest and is essentially a peninsula in a bend of the Osage River. The park and surrounding area has interesting topography and natural beauty.
