From The Campground
Float Camp Campground is a beautiful campground located in Mark Twain National Forest. The campground offers 7 picnic sites, 1 pavilion, and campsites for tent and camping trailers. The maximum suggested size for camping trailers is 40 feet. The campground offers accessible tables, fire rings, lantern posts, and grills. The campground is perfect for fishing enthusiasts as it features river and stream fishing for smallmouth bass and panfish. The White Oak and Wood Chuck Trails are perfect for day hiking and provide excellent opportunities for enjoying nature. The picnic area is downhill from the picnic pavilion, on the banks of the Current River. The picnic area offers picnic tables, pedestal grills, and trash receptacles. The pavilion is available to reserve at www.recreation.gov. The campground offers fire rings for campfires, but fires are permitted in constructed containers only. The campground is accessible with toilets, water, tables, and grills.
