This campground is a great option for those looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway. Located on the shores of Lake Pomme de Terre, one hour northwest of Springfield in the Ozark hills, the campground offers 29 sites, all of which are well maintained and of good size, long enough to accommodate RV, car and boat. Most sites have a view of the lake and are well shaded. The campground also features a nice boat ramp and courtesy dock, but no place to keep boats overnight and no dedicated swim area. Facilities are good, including a shower house, and the COE people are friendly and responsive to any issues. The camp host is a wonderful and accommodating lady. The lake is visible from all sites and several sites are shoreline, situated above the shore on large deck type sites. Gnats can be an issue during certain seasons, so be prepared. Navigating the campground road and parking with a big rig can be challenging, but it is possible.
