From The Campground
Bar-K Wrangler Camp is a semi-primitive non-motorized area located in the Mark Twain National Forest. The camp offers dispersed camping with no designated sites. The area provides for year-round non-motorized dispersed recreation use with approximately 23 miles of moderately used horseback riding, hiking, and mountain biking trails available. Fishing is also available in Swan Creek, which is a small creek with smallmouth bass, rock bass, and goggleeye. The creek is very shallow during the summer months and is warm. Picnicking is allowed in the campground if the campsite is not otherwise occupied. Tables and fire rings are available. Swimming is also allowed in the creek, but the area is not managed for swimming. There are no lifeguards, depth or hazard markers, and the water is not tested.
