This campground is a great place to stay for anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway. It is a new facility owned by the City of Lawson and is located next to a small lake with a nice view. The sites have full hookups and 50 amps, and each site has its own covered picnic table. There is a playground and a walking path, and the campground also hosts concerts. However, be sure to follow the directions when accessing the campground as GPS does not bring you to the correct location. There is a wooden bridge that is not suitable for rigs over 12 tons, so an alternate route should be taken. The campground is clean and spacious, but the trees are still young and provide little shade. There is a single mens and womens bathroom for the entire site, and the ground can be saturated with rain so extra caution should be taken when leveling the rig. All in all, this is a great campground and is highly recommended.

From The Campground

The Lakeview Campground and RV park is a brand new recreational campground located just north of Lawson, Missouri overlooking the Lawson City Lake. There are 21 reservable, including 1 handicap accessible, full-service sites with electric, water and sewer. Each site also features a fire-ring and covered picnic table. Located in the center of the campground, the shower house features family-friendly, individual bathrooms as well as coin-operated laundry. There is also a shelter house and playground for camper use. The City Lake complex features a walking trail and an 18-hole championship disc golf course around the 25-acre lake. There is a fishing dock and boat ramp at the lake. While swimming is not allowed at the City Lake, the Lawson City Pool is just minutes away and is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The Lakeview Event Center is also located at the complex and is available for private rentals such as family reunions, weddings and other gatherings.
