The lake is very nice and there is a nice park with a walking trail. The sites are large and level with a fire ring and picnic table. The campground is very well maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful. We had a great time here and would definitely come back. This campground is a great option for RVers and tenters alike. Located near Kansas City, Missouri, it is nestled in the suburbs and provides a secluded and quiet atmosphere. The sites are spacious and include a gravel pad, fire ring, picnic table, and some have shade. There is a gated entrance for extra security and Verizon 4G broadband is available. The campground is well maintained and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The lake nearby is perfect for fishing, boating, and swimming and there is a walking trail and park nearby. This campground is great for families, with plenty of open space, grassy areas, and wildlife to observe. Make sure to reserve early to secure a spot and be aware of the additional fee to use the lake.

Longview Lake is a picturesque lake located in Longview Lake Park, just minutes from south Kansas City. The lake offers 930 acres of water entertainment and 14 picturesque shelters. Visitors can enjoy power boating, water skiing, jet skiing, fishing, and relaxing pontoon boat rides. The lake also features a 1-acre beach area where visitors can swim and sunbathe. Longview Lake is a popular site for many of Jackson County Parks + Rec's special events. The full-service marina offers boat rental, concessions, marine supplies, lakeside gasoline pumps, tackle, bait, and overnight and annual slip rental. The Longview Lake Park area also features 14 picnic shelters, campgrounds, Frank White Jr. Softball Complex, Fred Arbanas Golf Course, and Longview Lake Horse Park.
