Basswood Resort, located in a rural area north of the airport, is an ideal location for campers who want to stay close to Kansas City while enjoying a peaceful environment. The campsite offers many family-friendly activities during the summer and Halloween fun the last three weeks in October. Despite the proximity to the airport, the park is well-maintained, quiet, and safe. The campsites are average-sized with full hookups, some paved and some gravel. In addition to a nice pool, there are three fishing lakes, nightly outdoor movies, playgrounds, an activity center, and several other activities available for campers. The parks customer service is fabulous, and all the guests are super friendly and helpful. While there are many permanent residents and large propane tanks around, the park remains clean and well-manicured. The facilities are clean and conveniently located, and the staff is helpful and friendly. If youre looking for a great drive through some beautiful Missouri countryside with tons of space, options, activities, and multiple lakes, Basswood Resort is an excellent choice for you.
