The Black River Campground is a great destination for families and RVers alike. It is located close to St. Louis and is situated right on the Black River, providing easy access to swimming, floating, and beach fun. The East campground is the older side and is better suited for smaller RVs, but larger RVs can still make it around with some careful maneuvering. The West campground is newer and geared more towards larger RVs, featuring bigger sites. The campground is a few minutes away from Annapolis, which has all the basic needs you might need. There is a small store adjacent to the campground that is part of the local canoe rental. The East shower/bath house needs to be updated, and the West shower/bath house is not designed very well. There is no host to enforce the quiet times, and people tend to speed in the campground. The East side has plenty of shade, but the West side is not as shady. The entrance off of K highway is a bit tricky, as it is downhill.
