Vandalia Community Lake is a 146.3-acre conservation area located in Vandalia, Missouri. The area features a boat ramp, improved camping, picnic areas, and pavilion. Hunting and fishing are allowed on the lake, with specific regulations outlined in the Missouri Code of State Regulations. Camping is limited to designated areas and is allowed for a maximum of 14 consecutive days in any 30-day period. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily. Target shooting is not allowed on the area. Only portable tree stands are allowed from September 1 through January 31. Pets and hunting dogs are permitted but must be on a leash or confined at all times. Trapping is allowed only with a special use permit. Spring turkey hunting is allowed only during specific dates and with specific restrictions. Please consult the Missouri Code of State Regulations for more information.
