The campground was clean and well maintained, with plenty of sites for both large and small rigs. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the camp store had a great selection of supplies and souvenirs. The fishing was great, and the river was perfect for kayaking and canoeing. There was also a nice dining lodge with delicious food. The only downside was that there was no cell phone service or TV signal in the area.

Montauk State Park's campground offers basic and electric campsites. For a little extra space, try one of the park's family campsites. The park's store carries a variety of camping supplies. Electricity and frost-free water spigots are available in the campground year-round. Campground guests may purchase firewood from the campground woodlot. Campers planning to carry in firewood must comply with current firewood advisories. Camping is limited to any 15 days within a 30-consecutive-day period at any one park or historic site.
