GenieSummary
The sites are well spaced and the campground is well maintained. The bathrooms were clean and there was a general store nearby. The campground is also close to some great hiking trails and canoeing opportunities. Pulltite Campground is a secluded park located along the Current River. It has everything you need for a comfortable camping experience, including running water, hot showers, a general store, and direct river access. The campground is well maintained and offers spacious sites with fire rings, picnic tables, and plenty of shade. It is also close to several hiking trails and canoeing opportunities. The host and rangers are friendly and do a great job of keeping the campground safe and quiet. During the summer, the campground can fill up quickly, so it is best to make reservations in advance. Be aware that the campground is home to raccoons, armadillos, black bears, copperheads, water moccasins, and black widow spiders. The gnats can be a bit annoying in the evenings, but they go away once the sun sets. There is also a private rafting/canoeing outfitter shop on site, and the people there are very friendly. Pulltite Campground is a great place to spend the day, overnight camp, and continue down the river.
