GenieSummary

Maramec Spring Park is a great campground located in Mid Missouri, nestled along the Meramec River. It is a popular spot for locals and offers a variety of activities, including fishing, hiking, biking, and exploring. There are reservable wooded camping areas, a playground, a historic driving tour with scenic overlooks, and a museum with the remains of an old iron furnace. The spring is beautiful and the surrounding water works are really neat. The campground shower house is pretty rough, but there are signs that upgrades are coming. Many sites have access to electricity and the bathrooms are decent. There is also a general store with access to fishing gear and a decent restaurant. The campground is very quiet in the off season, but can get crowded during the summer. The staff is generally helpful and friendly, though there have been some reports of unpleasant staff. Overall, Maramec Spring Park is a nice place to camp and is great for families looking to enjoy the outdoors.
