What others are saying about this campground
Mark Twain State Park is a great destination for campers looking to explore the great outdoors. Located approximately 30 minutes from Hannibal, MO, the park sits on the banks of Mark Twain Lake and offers plenty of activities for outdoor enthusiasts. Campsites feature gravel pads with electric, picnic tables, lantern poles, and fire rings. There is also a playground, boat ramp, and a fish cleaning station. The campground bathrooms are clean and the showers have great temperature and water pressure. The park also offers programs for kids and families on Saturday nights, as well as a nearby restaurant, The Rustic Oak. The closest store for provisions is about 15 miles away, but ice and firewood are available on site. The park also offers plenty of hiking trails and wildlife to explore, as well as a picnic area with a shelter and scenic overlook. The campground is well maintained and the camp hosts are friendly. However, there are not enough shower houses or toilets for the amount of camping spaces, and the roads are not big enough for 6 kids riding bicycles. On holiday weekends, there may be quite a bit of traffic in the loop due to boats.
