Van Buren, MO is the perfect destination for water lovers looking to commune with nature and have a good time! Big Spring State Park is nearby and offers plenty of camping options. The campground is still under renovation due to the 2017 flood, but still offers semi-private, mostly level sites with picnic tables, fire rings, and lantern hooks. Its right on the river and next to the float check in area, and even has a convenient store where you can check in and get anything you may have forgotten. The tent sites are great, the ground is wonderful and not rocky, and you can even have pizza delivered to your site! Plus, youre within walking distance to an ice cream shop. On Saturday nights, theres campground karaoke when the sun goes down! For a quieter experience, try camping here on Sundays. The Sleep Under the Stars Pack by Lightspeed Outdoors is a great way to make sure you get a good nights rest. The pack includes a queen size air mattress, two inflatable pillows, and a pump. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the spotty cell phone coverage makes it the perfect way to get away.

VanBuren RV Park is a self-service RV site located near the Current River. The park offers year-round RV parking with 50-amp full hookups, including water and sewer hookups and 50/30/20 amp outlets. The park has sites ranging from 50-80' in length, some of which are pull-through. The park is designed for all sized campers and has buddy sites where campers can face each other. The park is conveniently located within a short walking distance to shopping and local restaurants, including the World Famous JollyCone. The public swimming area is also located just a minute away. The park offers high-speed internet and seasonal spots are available. Check-in is easy, just find the spot that best fits your needs and if it's not reserved, back your camper in and set up. The park staff visits every evening to collect fees.
