Campground host was very friendly and helpful. The park has a great walking/biking trail that follows the river and is very scenic. There is a large open field with a playground, and a nice dog park. The bathrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. The campground also offers a dump station and potable water fill. Weston Bend State Park Campground is a beautiful wooded and shady park that offers a high degree of privacy and seclusion. The sites are level, spacious, and private with a great pad for table and fire pit, surrounded by lots of mature trees. There is a large fenced dog park and the campground has newly remodeled bathrooms with hot showers. The spaces have picnic tables, lantern posts, and fire ring with grill cover. There is a bike/hike paved trail, in rough shape, with some steep climbs and sharp turns. The campground also offers a dump station and potable water fill. The park is conveniently located for visiting the Kansas City area, and is also on the Lewis and Clark trail. The campground host is friendly and helpful with firewood and naturalist activities in the evening.
