sites are spacious and have a picnic table and fire ring. bathrooms are very clean. there is a boat launch and dock. cell service is good. moose sightings are common. there is a brewery, food, and candy store in Philipsburg, a short drive away. the Discovery Bike Park is 15 minutes away and open Saturday and Sunday. camphost was fantastic.
From The Campground
Philipsburg Bay Campground is located in the Pintler Ranger District of the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, Montana. It has 68 camping units that provide ideal access to fishing, boating, and water skiing. The campground overlooks the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness and is surrounded by mountains of outstanding beauty. Georgetown Lake is a large mountain lake spanning close to 3,000 acres at an elevation of over 6,000 ft. Lodgepole pines enclose the lake and surrounding mountains, providing a home to abundant wildlife including moose, elk, white-tailed deer, and even bighorn sheep. Water birds such as the graceful blue heron as well as hawks and other birds of prey also inhabit the lake area.
