GenieSummary

Located in Anaconda, MT, Spillway campground provides a great camping experience in a beautiful mountain setting. The campsites are clean and well-maintained, equipped with fire rings and picnic tables. Vault restrooms are well cared for, and there are many wildlife sightings in the area, including friendly chipmunks! The roads inside the campground are a bit challenging in places, with some potholes, so be sure to drive carefully. The sites are nicely spread apart, with plenty of sunlight and some shade. The campground is generally quiet and peaceful, even on weekends, and there is some nice hiking nearby, as well as Echo Lake, which is a good workout from the campground. There are a few pressurized water spigots throughout the campground, but no standard garden hose fitting. Fortunately, the camp hosts site has a standard hose fitting and can accommodate water bladders so that you can avoid moving your rig. There is a day use area across the street at Georgetown Lake, but theres not much there, so its better to drive a little further to the Grassy Point boat launch for a more extended doggie access to the water for playing and fetching. Overall, Spillway is a great choice for a camping getaway with FCFS and some reservable sites and a view of the lake.
