Cardwell General Store and Campground is a beautiful campground in Montana, with helpful and hospitable management. The site is well-manicured, with far enough distance from the interstate road to avoid noise from traffic. The wifi is available outside the RV, and the air channels inside are sufficient for campers. Dogs love the sprawling expanse but theres no dedicated play area. The Campground also has a lovely outdoor theatre/stage area for entertainment. The general store has a good variety of items, including Amish-made taffy, handmade chocolates, and a barista for coffee and bubble teas. The ice cream made in Montana is amazing, and the prices are reasonable considering the handcrafted items stocked in the store. A great option for RV campers looking for a positive campsite experience.

Cardwell General Store and Campground is a locally owned and operated RV park and campground located off I-90 at exit 256 in the Jefferson Valley of Montana. The campground offers 38 pull-through RV sites, up to 60' max, six dry tent sites, and one fully furnished dry cabin. Amenities include laundry, restroom, shower, and Wi-Fi. The campground also features a covered pavilion, horseshoe pits, log furniture, swing sets, and lovers swings. The North Boulder River and Jefferson River are easily accessible nearby for fishing and other water activities. The general store offers a wide variety of goods and services, including fishing supplies, tackle, bait, firewood, an espresso bar, a candy store, and an ice cream shop. At any given time throughout the year, it is quite possible to get a glimpse of moose or a playful bear around the facilities.
