What others are saying
Beavertail Hill Campground is located about 30 minutes East of Missoula, Montana and is a great stop for those looking for a place to crash for the night. The campground is clean and well-maintained, with spacious sites and plenty of shade for the summer days. There are some short hiking trails around the campground, and the river trail is beautiful to walk. The campground is close to the interstate and right next to Beavertail Pond, which is great for swimming and fishing. There are some cool teepees and the campground is great for group sites. The camp hosts are friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the campground does not have a shower house and it can be quite noisy due to the nearby highway and train tracks. There is no water or sewer hookup, but the bathrooms are clean. The Ghost Town of Garnet is close by and a great day trip. Be sure to stop in at Parkers in Drummond for an amazing milkshake.
