From The Campground

Colter Campground is a hard-sided vehicle only campground located in Beartooth Country on the Gardiner District of Custer Gallatin National Forest. The campground has 18 campsites with fire grates, food boxes, tables, trash cans, toilets, and water. The largest parking spur is 22' x 66'. The campground is open from July 1 to September 7, weather dependent. Reservations are not accepted and sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Be aware that the campground may fill up on weekends and holidays during the summer months and it is recommended to arrive in the early afternoon to ensure availability.
