GenieSummary

This campground is the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. Located just a couple of miles off of I-90, it is away from the highway and surrounded by a wooded setting with tall trees. Sites are further apart, clean and plenty of space, with many of them long enough to accommodate RVs and travel trailers. There is a beautiful creek and nature walk, with a self-guided tour that tells about the history of the area, and a bear box for food storage. Vault toilets are available and there is no water feature through the campground, but water is available. The camp hosts are friendly and knowledgeable and the campground is well maintained and clean. It is a first come, first serve campground with a nightly fee of $7, and it can get busy on the weekends. There is also access to the Hiawatha Trail. Wildlife and bugs are not an issue and chipmunks can be seen scurrying around. Dogs are allowed but the hosts are sticklers about them being on a leash.
