While there are only a few trees, the sites are not very private and the wind can be very strong at times. The bathrooms are acceptable with a new dump station set to be installed soon. Visitors have the option of staying with or without electric for $20/night for Montanans and $30/night for non-residents.

Clark Canyon Reservoir is a beautiful site located at the head of the Beaverhead River. It is the site of Camp Fortunate, one of the more significant spots along the Lewis and Clark Trail. It offers a variety of recreational activities and facilities for visitors to enjoy.
