GenieSummary

This was the best FS campground I have ever stayed at, and I have stayed at many. It’s a loop with 13 sites. It has recently been redone with new tables, bear boxes, toilet, and pavement. The camp hosts were the greatest and were working to keep the campground in top condition. It is right off the road but there is very little traffic. A main railroad line runs across the other side of the valley but the trains create just a low rumble with no whistles. It’s close access to Glacier NP. Devil Creek is the perfect place for a peaceful getaway. With easy access and no reservation required, you can pull in and find a spot with lots of first come first serve sites. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, and the campground is kept to Montana cleanliness standards. The sites are spacious and have black top pads, and the vault toilets are very clean. The campground is close to Glacier National Park and offers dark night skies for star gazing. With no electric, no sanitation, and no water, this primitive campground is the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.

From The Campground

Devil Creek Campground is located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, west of the continental divide and just south of the Canadian border, lies the 2.4 million acre Flathead National Forest. Home to lynx, grizzly bear, and bull trout and with numerous lakes streams and rivers to enjoy, the forest is a premiere destination for visitors. The campground lies between East Glacier and West Glacier. Devil Creek Trail #167 provides access to Spotted Bear Wilderness.
