Located in Fort Benton, MT, the Chouteau County Fairgrounds and Canoe Launch Campground offers an enjoyable camping experience close to the river. The campground has gravel and level sites that were a little difficult to access due to overgrown bushes and hanging branches. The campsites are well spaced, allowing for privacy, but some may lack shade. Despite the lack of amenities such as Wi-Fi, the campsite provides electricity and water spigots. However, there were reports of electrical issues. The campground is situated near the fairgrounds but is generally quiet when no events are taking place. The site is excellent for those who need cell service, as it is located in an area with 4 bars of LTE with Verizon. The river access is a bit steep, but there is a small boat ramp to make launching canoes easy. Visitors are advised to bring mosquito repellent as the area can be buggy during summer.

Chouteau County Fairgrounds is a campground located in Fort Benton, Montana. The campground is accessible from Franklin St, SW location of the fairgrounds. The campground offers bathrooms and showers on site. The campground offers RV sites with water and electrical hookup, RV sites with electrical hookup, RV sites with no hookups, tent sites, and day use. The campground also offers a canoe launch. The campground is open from May 1 through the end of November. Payment boxes are located at each fairgrounds entrance and the Canoe Launch entrance for easy payments. The campground does not accept Canadian money. Please make checks payable to: CHOUTEAU COUNTY FAIR.
