What others are saying about this campground
The Hill County Fairgrounds Campground in Havre is a great stopover point for travelers crossing Montana on Route 2. The campground consists of mostly back-in sites with a few pull-throughs, and is a great spot for train buffs to watch the BNSF yard operations from the bridge overpass. The sites are located right along the busy and noisy highway, but it becomes quiet after 10 pm. The back-in sites are quite short and may not fit a 40 RV, while the pull-throughs are curved and can hold a large rig. The electrical box is far back, so a 35 power cord is necessary to reach it. The 30A power is marginal with voltage fluctuations and large drops with any load. Cash and personal checks are accepted, but no credit cards. There is no pool or casino, but there is an indoor pool at the hotel. Washing of RVs is allowed at the site.
