What others are saying about this campground
Doris Creek is a beautiful, clean campground located 10 miles from the west entrance of Glacier National Park. It is tucked in a cove of Hungry Horse Lake and offers lake access, vault toilets, and picnic tables. The sites are catered more towards RVs and campers than tents, and there is no running water, sewer, or electricity. Trash must be hauled out, but there are dump facilities at some of the service stations for a nominal fee. There is no cell phone coverage or telephone service, and the closest Verizon service is in the town of Hungry Horse. The views of the creek and reservoir are stunning, and the openness of the space allows for memorable reunions or annual get-togethers. It is the perfect spot for a quick camp fix, and a great spot to enjoy the night sky.
