What others are saying about this campground
Hungry Horse Reservoir is a beautiful campground located on a hill with different rings of campsites as you go up the hill. The campground offers basic amenities such as toilets, picnic tables, fire pits, trails to water, firewood, campground hosts, and water sources. There is plenty of room for trailers and boats at this campground with double wide spots. This campground offers tons of opportunities for activities such as swimming, cliff jumping, boating, hiking, and some great night photography locations. The campground is located about 15 miles west of the entrance to Glacier National Park and is accessible by a dirt road. Although the campground is close to the park, it is known to attract a lot of locals and can be quite noisy and rowdy at night. There is no store or showers, and the roads are dusty and full of potholes. The campground host is very friendly and helpful, and the outhouse is clean and well-maintained. Sites 1-8 are the dustiest, while site 6 has the best view. While this campground may not be ideal for those looking for a peaceful, secluded camping experience, it is a great spot for those looking to explore the mountains and waters of the Hungry Horse Reservoir.
