Montana Basecamp in Kalispell, MT offers a nice and modern park with large and level concrete pads. The grass and distance between sites are good with nice views and lots of open space surrounding the park. Although the nightly rate was high, especially during a LD weekend, the location in Kalispell is nice and it is not too far from Glacier National Park. There are good restaurants and stores close by. This park seems to attract a mix of higher-end travelers, local workers, and families on a holiday weekend. The park lacks amenities that one would expect from this price point. There is no staff on-site so check-in is a DIY process with paperwork waiting in front of the office. Despite the lack of amenities, the laundry facility is good, and its free to use. There are only a few machines though. The fire pit has free firewood available as well. While grass between the sites needs some TLC, all utilities worked and the sites are clean and level. Verizon reception is weak, but the wifi is good.
