Cottonwood Recreation Area is a shaded campground located along the Milk River in Montana. It is a popular spot for river fishermen, big game hunters, and upland bird hunters. The campground offers camping, fishing, picnicking, birding, and photography. Facilities include restrooms, tables, and fire-rings, and fishing access. There are no fees or reservations required, and the campground is open year-round. The site is on the BLM Whitewater 1:100,000 topographic map at Township 33N, Range 31E, section 30.
