Miles City KOA is located near the Tongue River and Yellowstone River and is close to the site of old Fort Keogh. Stay on the grounds where the Sioux, Cheyenne and Crow once lived, and where Captain William Clark and Sacajawea (1806) and General George Custer (1874 and 1876) once camped. Within walking distance of our campground, you'll find the Range Riders Museum, Historic Downtown Miles City, the Eastern Montana Fairgrounds, Riverside Park, the Natural Oasis Pool and the Denton Sports Complex. While Downtown, check out buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including the Olive Hotel (1899), where "Gus" drew his last breath in the miniseries Lonesome Dove, the Miles City Saddlery (1909) and The Historic Montana Bar (1908).Miles City also hosts the annual Bucking Horse Sale, Bluegrass Festival and Rock, Gem and Mineral show. There is so much to see and do for you and your family.We now have two K9 Paw Pen sites for those traveling with dogs. If your furry companion is in need of a bath we also offer a portable bath station we can deliver to your site free of charge! You can freshen up your traveling companion.If you enjoying fishing, Miles City is home to some of the best fishing in the country. Our park is located right along the Tongue and Yellowstone Rivers. You can fish for Trout (rainbow, cutthroat, brown and brook), Bass (small and large mouth), Walleye, Perch, Crappie, Catfish, Paddlefish, Ling and Northern Pike.If shopping is your favorite pastime Miles City has you covered there as well! Downtown is a 5 minute walk from our park and the historic downtown shops do not disappoint. has just about everything you could want, vintage shopping as well as a bakery, specialty coffee shop, and clothing and sweets. is a unique stop that sells locally made art and gifts, including whimsical items. is a local shop where you can buy souvenir shirts, Montana made items and they also sell hard ice cream in the back of their shop. is a Miles City long time retailer that provides clothing, boots, hats and saddles, plus home goods as well. They have a museum of saddles that is unmatched!Hungry? Miles City has great food offerings! Within a 5 minute walk from the park you will find (one of the oldest bars in Montana), , (awesome pizza), (a great breakfast place that opens at 6am for early risers), , , (coffee shop), (located inside Vintage and Rustics), , (breakfasts) and . If you are alright with a short drive, as everything in Miles City is only 5 minutes away by car you can go to the (our fanciest restaurant with most varied menu), (on way to airport), , (great Mexican), (breakfasts), , (in house smoked meats to die for), , (Chinese Food), Four B's Restaurant, , and we have a Coffee shop as well. If you are after a quick drive thru bite to eat there is a McDonalds, Taco John's, Jimmy John's, Dairy Queen, Wendy's, Arby's, and Subway.Wine anyone? Miles City has the a short drive away. They make wine entirely from Montana fruit and grapes that are grown right here.For the art and history buffs Miles City has the which is a celebration of eastern Montana's history with a large display of guns and exhibits. You can easily spend all day here looking around! The is also a must see. It is located in the concrete basins of the 1910 Water Works that produced Miles City's drinking water for over 60 years. Across from the park (5 min walk from campground) there are public tennis courts as well as the Denton Sports complex where you can catch a baseball game or football game. Every Saturday in the summer months at Riverside Park (5 min walk) there is a farmers market featuring local artisans and their produce and products. We are a popular stopping point for travelers headed to (314 miles), (179 miles), (137 miles), (210 miles), (139 miles), (514 miles), and more!Max pull thru: 100 feet.
