From The Campground

Lakeside Campground is located at the south end of Lake Alva in Lolo National Forest. It offers five standard family sites and one group site for camping. The campground provides picnic tables, fire rings, and a vault toilet. Visitors can enjoy lake activities such as swimming, fishing, and boating. Non-motorized boating is a great way to view wildlife and appreciate the landscape in the area. Motorized boating is permitted on this lake, so most non-motorized boats find areas away from high traffic watercraft use. Early mornings are also a good time for non-motorized craft. The campground is open from May to October 1. Food storage orders are in place to protect visitors and bears from unwanted encounters. All boats on Lake Alva must operate at a “no-wake” speed year-round.
