Located in the Bitterroot Valley, Charles Waters Campground is a top-rated USFS campground in Stevensville, MT. This secluded and peaceful campground offers beautiful treed spaces where you can relax and enjoy the sound of running water from the creek behind. Its well-spaced sites with plenty of greenery offer privacy, as well as great opportunities to explore nature through hiking and horseback riding trails. The entire campground is quiet and beautiful and features paved roads, restrooms, and water fountains. Although the streams access is limited, theres plenty of hiking and horseback riding trails to keep you entertained. There are clean pit toilets on-site, and the campground host is friendly and helpful. However, some caution is needed when entering with bigger rigs, as some corners may be too tight and some trees may pose an obstacle. Additionally, this campground is not ideal if youre looking to stay connected, as there is no OTA TV, and cell phone service may be limited.

From The Campground
Larry Creek Group Site Group Campground is located within the Bass Creek Recreation Area and can accommodate up to 75 persons. The site is accessible with paved paths to restrooms, picnic shelter, and fire rings. There are no water or power hookups, but there is a hand pump for water. Camping is limited to 5 consecutive days and quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Pets must be leashed. The campground is open from April through September and reservations can be made through Recreation.gov or by calling Toll Free 1-877-444-6777. The fee is $75 per night for a single unit.
