What others are saying about this campground
Lewis and Clark Campground is a beautiful, secluded park in Montana located near the confluence of the Jefferson, Madison, and Gallatin Rivers. It is the perfect spot for those interested in exploring the history of the Lewis and Clark expedition, as well as the local wildlife and natural beauty. The campground offers 17 gravel and dirt sites suitable for small RVs, each with a picnic table and fire ring. There is also a 13 mile bike trail from the campground into Three Forks, and plenty of scenic hiking trails. The campground is well maintained and the Montana sky is amazing. Unfortunately, there are no hookups or showers, and the mosquitoes can be quite bad, so dont forget the insect repellent. The rate is a bit steep for dry camping, but the park is worth it for its beauty and history.
