Lake Five Resort in West Glacier, MT is a beautiful campground for families who love the outdoors. The clear mountain lake is perfect for swimming and kayaking. The owners are accommodating and create a relaxing environment. There are plenty of dirt and grassy sites that offer enough shades. The bathrooms are a bit old, but the overall grounds are well kept. Guests can rent kayaks and paddle boards from the resort or bring their own. They also have firewood and ice available, but guests should stock up on supplies as the nearest grocery store is 35 minutes away in Whitefish. Cell service at the resort is limited, which may be a welcome relief for those looking for an off the grid retreat. Visitors should be aware of the odd setup of the full hookup sites, where water and electric are far apart and placed close to the next site over. Regardless of a few cons, Lake Five Resort is a great spot for families.
