Departure Point Recreation Area is a public campground located in Butte, Montana. It offers 4 campsites (upper parking lot, paved area only) available on a first-come, first-served basis. The campground is open from May 1 to mid-October and is staffed by camp hosts or staff members typically available onsite 7 days a week, from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Potable water is not available at Departure Point, but can be accessed at Log Gulch (driving distance approximately 1/4 mile).
