GenieSummary

Quiet, lots of shade, and no crowds. The campground is located near Crystal Lake and offers fishing opportunities. There are gravel sites with picnic tables and fire rings, as well as vault pit latrines. There is a 1.5 mile dirt road to get to the campground, and power is available at 20, 30, and 50 amp. There is no water on site, but there is a dump station in the town of Ayr. Wi-Fi and OTA TV are available, as well as Verizon cell phone signal. The cost is reasonable for what you get, but it is a bit high for what you dont get.

From The Campground

Buckley Creek is a rustic campground located in Reynolds, NE. Developed in 1977, it has 20 acres of surface water with 98 acres of land surrounding the structure. The campground is an ideal spot for fishing, hiking, and boating while providing a natural setting with a quiet atmosphere. It offers a public nine-hole sand green golf course, shelters, picnicking, hiking, fishing, grills, public rural water, restrooms, 4 camper hookups ($15 per night fee; effective May 1, 2021), boating (motors less than 5HP), and a limited playground. In winter, visitors can enjoy snowmobiling, fishing, and ice skating. The primary benefits of Buckley Creek are flood control, road and bridge protection, outdoor recreation, and fish and wildlife habitat. The community of Reynolds offers gas and food, while Fairbury, located 11 miles east and north along Highway 8, provides excellent shopping, medical care, golf course, and other outdoor and indoor entertainment.
