Vans Campground is a great destination for fishing and watersports enthusiasts. Located on Lake McConaghay, the campground offers plenty of space to keep the fishermen away from the skiers, and the lake is full and beautiful for playing and fishing. The campground is all sand, with lots of big shade trees and good electric power, although the water pressure is low. There are a limited number of full hookups, and the bathrooms could be cleaner. The campground also has a private boat ramp and a convenience store with gas. The campsites are close together, and there is minimal grass area for tenters, but the staff are friendly and will tow your boat to the launching area if you dont have a vehicle. Verizon signal is good during the week. There is no internet at the campground, but satellite TV works. The rate is reasonable, although it can be 4x higher on holidays.
