Chadron State Park is a beautiful and well-maintained campground with lots of extra amenities such as a pool, archery range, pellet gun range, horseback riding, and trader store. The staff is friendly and visible, and the restrooms are clean. Though campsites are somewhat close together, they are level and well-maintained. The park offers fantastic hiking trails, and there are amazing scenic views from these trails. Visitors enjoy the overall peace and quiet of the park.

From The Campground

Chadron State Park offers year-round camping with electric and basic campsites. Amenities include showers, dump station, laundry, picnic tables, grills, and a playground. The park also has 22 cabins available for rental, which are air-conditioned, heated, and furnished with blankets, towels, stoves, refrigerators, silverware, and cooking utensils. The park offers trails for hiking, biking, kayaking, horseback riding, snowmobiling, and more. Fishing is also available. Reservations are accepted for half of the campsites up to one year in advance of arrival date and paid in full at the time the reservation is made. All other camping is first-come, first-served.
