GenieSummary
This campground is a great spot for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Located close to I80, it offers beautiful clear waters with no electricity. There are plenty of decent camping spots with lots of lakeshore for fishing and kayaking. The sites have picnic tables and fire rings, and fire wood piles are all around. There is a small “beach” area designated for swimming in one of the ponds. The water is nice and cooled down nicely. There is a newly built vault toilet, but the men’s side is reportedly terrible. Wildlife, fishing, lake access, docks, pull through camp sites, and an outhouse are all available. Early October is a great time to visit, as the trees are still changing colors and the smell of fresh fall air is everywhere. The fireflies are also a sight to behold. Arrive early on the weekend or during the week to get the best spot in the area.
