Wildcat Hills State Recreation Area is a beautiful park in western Nebraska that offers a variety of activities for visitors. The park features historical stone shelters built during the Great Depression era, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The park also has over 3 miles of trails for hiking, biking, and equestrian riding, as well as an array of wildlife, including bighorn sheep, mule deer, and coyote. Camping is available on a first-come, first-serve basis with 12 basic sites along the interior trail roads.
