GenieSummary
This campground is in need of some serious renovations. The pool water is green on one side, 1 of 2 filters is not working, and debris is strewn all over the surface. The buildings look like they are falling down, and the grass is 3-4 feet tall everywhere, even the playground. The power is good, but the sewer cap is cracked and broken. There are lots of tall trees which may block satellite reception, and no cable TV. The pull is empty, and the check-in staff is friendly. There are also really nice areas for tents with picnic tables, fire pits with benches, and water spigots scattered. Unfortunately, there are several long term campers in the park who are rude and noisy. The dumpster is open and full, and there is no KOA staff in the campground. The campground had recently been hit by a bad windstorm, so there are big limbs down in the sites and piles of branches all over the place. There is also muck on the ground left from a flood this summer.
From The Campground
Blue Heron Campsite offers 40 large trailer/RV sites with 30-50 Amp, water, electricity, and sewer lines on 17 sites. There are 7 sites for tent camping, each site allowing for two tents, all with water and electricity. Additionally, there are three cabins that each sleep 4 with water and electricity. Each features a wilderness aesthetic and they each have a front porch swing and nearby picnic tables. Unfortunately, there is no pool on location.
